Cleansing the body is a tradition that is thousands of years old and spans many cultures and continents. It is a foundational element of a healthy mind and body. Cleansing through fasting and spa treatments has long been the best way to activate the body's own healing ability.
The ancient Egyptians wrote about cleansing herbs like aloe, senna and wormwood. In Europe there are healing hot springs that have been used for over a thousand years, drawing people to come and recover from what ails them. In the North America, the Native Americans have many traditions that cleanse the mind and body including the sweat lodge. In the Old Testament, the Israelites used fasting as a way to cleanse themselves from sin and draw nearer to God. In Traditional Chinese Medicine, a fasting diet is used to compound the effectiveness healing protocols.
This is a time old tradition that has been lost in our fast paced culture that is built on instant gratification. A cleansing regimen takes time, preparation and involves denying yourself of certain things you may love. It sometimes makes you uncomfortable, but any temporary discomfort gives way to incomparable breakthrough.
I invite you to step into the ancient wisdom of cleansing your body. After my first cleanse I was so excited to share what I had experienced with everyone I knew. I felt like I was gifted a new body, mindset and energy. It is now something I do at least twice a year, and look forward to this sacred time with great anticipation. I know that once you experience the renewal that comes with restricting diet, papering yourself with easy DIY spa treatments, and focusing on God and His will for your life, you too will feel that excitement!
Now you have a choice to make. Embark with me on a journey of going deeper, getting healthier, and giving your wonderful body a reboot. Or, continue life as is, possibly just getting by, and push the idea back for another time. But I challenge you to go for it; if is something you have thought of doing, or resonates with you, I bet it will be the best thing you do for yourself all year!

We all know the benefits of spring cleaning our homes. Get rid of the dust and stale air that has accumulated all winter, clean out closets, drawers and cupboards of clutter and unwanted items and wash the windows to let more of that bright spring sun inside. But did you know that spring is also a wonderful time to clean your body of toxins? After a winter of being indoors and eating more heavy foods, you may notice some extra weight or simply a feeling of sluggishness. This can be reversed with a simple spring cleaning for your body, that boosts your metabolism and removes the toxin buildup. It is also a great way to connect with the natural rhythm of the earth, as spring brings new growth and rejuvenation to nature, you can enjoy it in your body as well.
Now there are plenty of different cleanse diets you will find on the internet, but often they are just a diet and not a whole body cleanse. In order to do an effective cleanse for your body you need three key elements. One, you need to give your body a break physically, conserving energy, so that it can use the energy in cleaning and healing itself. Two, you need to make sure your detoxification pathways are working effectively so that the waste gets eliminated from your body and not recirculated. And, three, you need to support the system with proper supplementation to make the process of cleaning more effective.
You can go out and find a cleanse diet you want to follow and research which supplements would best support your body and how to open your detoxification pathways, or you can let me do the work for you. I started using cleanse diet routines about a year and a half ago to boost my own health and have since tried a number of them to better help my clients who are looking to boost their health. I have tried dozens of different recipes in my own kitchen, with my family and gained great feedback from them. I would like to share what I have learned with you.

What is a health coach?
You may have a friend who hired a health coach to help her lose weight, or seen a health coach offering services online. But what exactly does a health coach do? A health coach fills the void between the patient and the health care industry, that is set up really as a disease care industry. The system we currently have in place does a lousy job of preventative care and providing easy to understand guidelines on how to actually stay healthy and disease free. This is where the health coach comes in.
A health coach is most often trained in functional medicine and has a truly holistic perspective of the body and health. A health coach understands how all the systems of the body work together to maintain health. They also understand that each person is unique and a one size fits all recommendation on how to stay or get healthy does not work. A health coach takes time to get to know and understand each individual client in order to customize their health prescription.
is a health coach right for me?
I believe that every individual could benefit from working with a health coach. A health coach can help an already healthy person get past that one issue still persisting and connect all the dots of a healthy lifestyle for them. A health coach can help someone with a chronic disease like type 2 diabetes understand why they have the condition and the way forward to better manage and possibly reverse the disease. A health coach will connect you with the best resources and education on how to get healthy and stay healthy. They give the support and accountability that allows people to finally take control of their health and life.
When you are healthy and know how to maintain that health long term, the world and all its opportunities open up to you. You can think clearly, you have energy to participate in activities and give more of yourself to those you love. When you are in control of your health, you can life the life you want, the life you were created for!
